A Heartfelt Letter From Me To You

Dear friend,

There’s a strategy in Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff that challenges readers to write a heartfelt letter—so I decided to write one to you.

First of all, I want to thank you for being here and continuing to read my blogs and listen to my podcasts. For those of you who open my emails—you are valued and appreciated. And, even if you only open a few of them—I’m grateful that you take the time.

I know we are facing difficult times as a nation. I’m holding out the hope that many will become heartbroken and open to awareness about what it will take to make change happen—gracefully.

Always remember, being hopeless leaves us feeling helpless whereas being hopeful is quite helpful and adds to our resilience and strength—both individually and as a collective.

I’m done with polarizing conversations and the belief that this as a sad time in history. Instead, I have faith that this will be a time of fierce change where apathy must not exist but neither should we prescribe to separateness either. Despite what’s going on, I am focusing on the things I have in life to be grateful for—while still keeping my eye on what’s happening.

In light of these times of unrest, let’s do our best to keep all of this in perspective and stay aligned in our hearts.

I’ve recently launched a new podcast series, in honor of Random Acts of Kindness week, called “Kindness Matters” in the hopes that you will be inspired to remember small acts of kindness and put kindness at the forefront of your thinking and actions. What I know that heartfelt kindness is the way of life that opens hearts to love.

Where there is love—fear cannot reside.

Fear hides out in anger and negativity.

It’s so important that we stay positive right now and that we continue to look on the bright side.

Love people for our differences—this is at the heart of what it means to be truly American.

A love of nation, God (in our own expression), the freedom of speech we enjoy, and the right to own land (and pay our taxes.) These are some of the things I love about America! Well, maybe not the taxes—but they are necessary!

I am inspired by the high level of engagement people are showing in politics by both sides and the opportunity this time is giving us to discover deeper passion for what we value.

My heart is full of love and hope right now, and I hope yours is too.

There’s so much love to share on this journey. As we walk together, we can uncover deeper meaning as we pursue our dreams for our individual lives and our nation—peacefully but with great intention behind our actions.

My most heartfelt wish for you is that you always . . . Just keep moving forward.

Treasure the gifts of life and love,
Kris
