We all have an ego–that voice that strives to “protect” us by keeping us in survival mode, activating fear, forming comfort zones, and building a wall of resistance around our hearts.
The journey for each of us is to silence the voice of the ego, to listen for the whisper of our inner wisdom, and to break down the wall of resistance.
I invite you to join me on the podcast today as we talk about the subtle ways that our ego voice inhibits our growth and makes our inner critic far too loud. Our lives become “safe” and small when we are not leaning into our fears and embracing change with great courage.
I’d love to tell you my own story of wrestling with the ego and of eventually coming back to my quiet inner voice of wisdom. I have long struggled with body image and with painful words of self-criticism; the recent body shifts of menopause brought that old pattern of struggle up to the surface once again. My journey was a search for love in the midst of this body change.
Your journey, too, is a walk toward love. You become the master of your own destiny when you gain a deeper understanding of who your loving inner voice says you are–full of worth and beauty simply in being.
Together, let’s explore the gentle and brave ways we can break down the wall of resistance in our lives. Only in setting our hearts free do we become the most vibrant versions of ourselves.
