Interview With JJ Virgin
Don't Sweat The Small Stuff - Live The Big Stuff
Interview With JJ Virgin
This week on the podcast, I’m having a heart to heart with JJ Virgin.
Having written four New York Times bestsellers including The Virgin Diet, The Virgin Diet Cookbook, The Sugar Impact Diet and the Sugar Impact Diet Cookbook, JJ is best known as a health expert—but she’s also an extraordinary mother. Her recently published memoir, Miracle Mindset: A Mother, Her Son and Life’s Hardest Lessons details her harrowing struggle to bring her son back to life from a near fatal hit and run accident. Together, JJ and I discuss these events, which include countless reminders that we don’t sweat the small stuff when we are living the big stuff.
In a way, it’s like our natural defense mechanism is our ability to have laser focus on what matters in times of true adversity.
What I love about Don’t Sweat wisdom is that it’s like an extension of what our minds and bodies already do—let go of the small stuff to make room for what really matters. This is how we make room to respond to life with ease, grace and creativity.
You will be inspired by JJ’s story. She reminds us that what we expect out of life is what we get. Ultimately, if we just strive to survive our circumstances, survival is the best we can hope to achieve. But when we strive for greatness—110%—that’s when we’ll thrive.
