Don't Sweat The Small Stuff - Live The Big Stuff

World Class Listening

Being heard is one of the most healing things for our soul.

When I was in grief I had a couple close friends who listened really well as I shared my emotions and pain. I told them, “I don’t need you to fix me.” I just needed someone to listen. To let me be. And to let me spill out my emotions.

One common theme we talk about in the Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff series is being a “World Class Listener.” It is so helpful to create a safe place for our friends and family to be able to share when their heart is crying out out for a trusted, listening ear.

There’s an extremely helpful question you can ask your friends and family when they come to you to talk. This question has helped so much when I need to know how to respond to my loved ones.

I’ll tell you all about it in today’s episode.
